All IO members are eligible to register for access to our Resume Database, which is a free searchable web based platform where all career seekers’ resumes are visible. The registered Career Seekers are residents of Ontario and they learned about this program through IO’s academic and community partners. While any IO Member can access the database for their HR needs, the $6,000 subsidy will be guaranteed only once they send in an application for participation and select a suitable intern for their studio.
The registration process to get access to the Resume Database is quite simple. Head to the main page and select “sign up” in the top right corner of your screen. There, click on the “Employer” option and simply fill out the form.
When entering your information, you should keep in mind that your profile will be viewable by career seekers. The information you provide informs them about your company, your work and your values. It is worthwhile to spend some time to make it appealing.
You will have the option to customize your profile by adding an image to the banner or even creating a photo gallery for Career Seekers to review. Don’t hesitate to include images of your work or your team. Below is a sample profile for reference.
When outlining your ideal candidate, we encourage you to be quite specific. There’s no need for a detailed job description, but you should list out the qualities and hard skills you wish to see in someone joining your team. We encourage you to describe your company culture and work mode (ie: on-site, hybrid, fully remote.) This will inspire Career Seekers who are interested in your company to better cater their profiles to reflect how well they align with your company’s description.
