Current Project - Flora's Reign

Currently, we are working on the project “Flora’s Reign”, an Augmented Reality (AR) mobile simulation game about restoring nature in your neighbourhood. Flora’s Reign is an educational game for children in Grades 2-8. The objective is to (virtually) plant and balance a garden ecosystem of native species of an area, and c
reate the optimal conditions for a thriving food web. 

The Job -  Marketing and Community Outreach Intern

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing and Community Outreach Intern to join our team. This intern will play a pivotal role in promoting Flora’s Reign and our studio, expanding our community reach, building strategic partnerships, and engaging our audience through compelling communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketing and Promotions: Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns. 

  • Communications: Create engaging content for various platforms including our website, social media, and newsletters. Ensure that all communications reflect our brand's voice and mission.

  • Partnerships and Outreach: Help identify and engage with potential partners such as educational institutions, tech communities, and industry influencers.

  • Community Management: Help strategize and develop community building strategies at the intersection of gaming/education and environmental education. Manage day-to-day interactions with our users on social media and other platforms. Organize and participate in community events and webinars.

  • Event Coordination: Assist in the planning and execution of promotional events, both virtual and in-person, to increase brand awareness and community engagement.


  • Experience in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.

  • Interest in technology, gaming, and education.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Learning Opportunities:

  • Gain hands-on experience at the intersection of gaming/education and environmental education.

  • Work closely with industry professionals in marketing and game development.

  • Deep dive into community building strategies 

  • Enhance skills in digital marketing and partnership management.

Commitment and Compensation:

This is a part-time internship of 25 hours a week for a period of 12 weeks, between June 3rd, 2024 and August 30th, 2024. We offer a flexible schedule and a supportive working environment. 

Compensation is $20/hr.
